The seventh main assignment I received was a project called Fit the future, the project is to help elders (55+) be able to perform interactive activities with nature on a daily base. Specifically to design an indoor green wall (vertical gardening), where the user could take care of fruit, spice and vegetable plants.
This project was carried out in collaboration with three other students in the class.
Idea phase

My best idea, multi functional design to be used as curtains by horizontal placement. With the use of a 4-rod mechanism the panels can be pulled toward the ideal working height for the users to interact with the design

For the concept phase of this project the idea of Ruben Clerx was chosen to be developed in a final product in this project, this idea was a hexagonal design, like a beehive including an over time watering system and build in light.
My main task in the group to develop the frame in which the units would be placed.

The group elaboration of the idea into renders and models for testing.

Reflection
This project was the one I have enjoyed the most during my education at HAN, because I worked with a group of motivated students, on an interesting subject. I was able to express myself and my ideas this project, and I have learned a lot about cooperating.
